![]() It did mean I needed to rethink the brown for the leather strapping, but that wasn't a huge deal either. The clothing had me stumped for a little bit, but in the end I decided on brown paints and tan shirts. This looks really good with the green skin and I'm glad I went that route. All that I did was paint them with Screaming Skull, a wash of Agrax Earthshade, a touch up and then a highlight of white. The teeth and fingernails were painted pretty simply. I may not end up doing pupils, but it looked odd not having something there. Unlike the Humans, which I skipped painting their eyes, I painted the test Orc's eyes white. Finally I did a quick go around with some Agrax Earthshade in the recesses where clothing met the skin tone, to help give it some more definition. Then, for the face I mixed in a little Reaper MSP Fair Skin to the mix for the lips and highlighting on the cheeks. This was followed by a touch up coat of Warboss Green, before adding in some reddish pink of a Reaper MSP paint sample I don't have a name for. I also didn't want it too dark, so Caliban Green and Warpstone Glow were out of the question.įor this I started with a base coat of Warboss Green and then a wash of Riekland Fleshshade. I knew I wanted to stay away from a cartoony green and that it needed to be a bit more believable. Your brawler is handy, but block reigns supreme. With the model in 2 pieces, I started painting the skin first. They can have blodgers right out of the gate and that's a big deal. Lastly, Amazons in Sevens is a better team than Black Orcs mainly because of the starting skills. Rerolls are hard to come by, but those green little fuckers have one built in. Outside of a dwarf team with lots of tackle, embrace the mayhem that is stunty. I also think if you feel like you're not taking advantage of the goblins stunty dodges then you're probably right. Black Orcs hit shit and protect the goblin with the ball. You mentioned set ups and with Sevens you don't get those free hits like in Elevens. Plus one turns are always a threat and I really like projectile vomit in a pinch. Four 4ST is super good, but not good enough sadly. You have 4MA so you're gonna hit and crawl up the field. I ran Black Orcs without the troll and found myself really lacking. I think your build is the best, personally. You don't get the rerolls you potentially need, you don't get the skills you really need, and you don't get the inducements like bribes you can strongly benefit from. My obligatory plug for the growing and relatively unknown /r/bloodbowlsevens community aside.īlack Orcs, I've found, is weird in Sevens. They're hardier than normal goblins, but not by much. Likewise, be sure to keep your goblins away from getting hit as much as possible. Then again, with 7s it can be trickier to get assists. Perhaps see if you can get an extra goblin on the team, try to do some fouling with them? Things will be a lot easier if you can remove a player or two. Caging up and protecting the ball is probably your best bet, though that's a little tricky playing 7s, and with a somewhat unreliable troll on your hands (And throw teammate is always going to be a long shot unless you've got a bunch of rerolls and luck, which you may not with 7s). They are good in the Strength department, but their low speed is a real problem. That said, Black Orcs are going to be a challenging team to succeed with.
